DESCRIPTION:
E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "No. 29 Gallery" clock, 8 days, time only, compounded weight driven movement with external slow / fast adjustment in a mahogany case with 24" reverse painted glass dial, c1930
CONDITION:
the case retains its original finish. The bracket base is a professionally made replacement. The lever to actuate the pendulum has been replaced with a wire. There is also a gouge in the rear of case to give access to the pendulum. The original dial and hands are in excellent condition with no flaking. The Howard signed movement is stamped "11 1/2". The weight is a replacement. Ht 45 1/2" (with bracket), Width 63" (with bracket)
